Eighteen Swan Rangers hiked Mount Aeneas Saturday, September 8, and many got passed by new Rangers aged 3, 7 and 8!

The Rangers broke into several groups . . .

. . . one of which included three generations of Bigfork hikers!

Some of our newest and youngest Swan Rangers show off their patches atop Mount Aeneas!

Beneath a haze of high-elevation smoke, Birch, In-thlam-keh and Crater Lakes provide the sparkle that gives Jewel Basin its name.

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
