Swan Rangers Ski Foothills and Peters Ridge!

Strawberry Mountains: per USGS left and per locals right (Keith Hammer photos except as noted).

Fourteen Swan Rangers skied and snowshoed Foothills Ski Area and Peters Ridge Road on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Four skied the Foothills trails freshly groomed by North Shore Nordic and ten found more fresh snow the higher they climbed up Peters Ridge Road.

Both groups started under cold, snowing skies, ended in sunshine, and had a great time!

The Peters Ridge gang comes to a fork in the road and, as usual, takes it!

The Rangers get some sun in their eyes!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

Everyone is welcome!
