Swan Rangers Hike Estes Lake and Beyond!

The magical land beyond Estes Lake! (Keith Hammer photos)

Once upon a time (Saturday, May 10, 2014 to be exact) ten Swan Rangers hiked to Estes Lake and beyond!

They found the source of all water on Planet Earth and tasted it!

That's when the big purple dragons appeared and led them . . .

. . . to Estes Lake. They continued on until they thought they'd reached the Pacific Ocean!

It turned out to be just Flathead Lake, but it had shooting stars falling from the sky right there in broad daylight!

The End.

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
