Swan Rangers Explore Flat Earth!

Earth, lake, cloud by Keith Hammer.

Swan Rangers again explored the foggy, frosty layer between the earth and the cloud deck during their outings this past week!

Keith Hammer wondered if the Earth is indeed flat as he took our lead photo!

Keith then explored the frosty artwork left as the overnnight fog dissipated, finding beauty in a bunch of Sweet clover . . .

. . . Ponderosa pines . . .

. . . and a tree branch occupied by a young Northern shrike puffed up for warmth!

Pat Jaquith came upon a similarly perched Townsend's solitaire and . . .

. . . an American three-toed woodpecker showing off its "opposable thumb!"

Ruth Quist came upon a Kingfisher in a Larch tree and . . .

. . . frosty lichens hanging from a tree branch.

Pam Willison found this beautiful combination of contorted snow and hoar frost hanging from a tree limb!

In our parting shot, Ruth Quist once again captures a baby-colors sky at sunset!
