Swan Rangers Hold Krause Basin Caucus!

There was a lot of contrast in the Krause Basin Caucus! (Fawn Simensen photo)

Fifteen Swan Rangers skied into the North Fork of Krause Basin on a partly sunny Saturday, February 6, 2016!

The snow was quite good, in spite of warm weather, but the heavy snow has brought quite a few trees down across the trails!

In some cases, like at this fork in the trail, the decision required a coin toss! (Norma Linsky photo)

The further you go, the deeper it gets . . . (Fawn Simensen photo)

. . . and the taller the trees! (Fawn Simensen photo)

All in all a great day in the Swan Range! (Fawn Simensen photo)

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

Everyone is welcome!
