Swan Rangers saw lots of bear tracks on their hikes during the week ending Saturday, October 31, 2020!
It is big game hunting season, so keep your bear spray handy and be extra careful not to stumble upon game or gut piles left behind by hunters. There may be a very defensive bear feeding on it! Ravens ganging up in one area can be a sign there is dead meat nearby - and they may not be the only ones at the party!

While the Swan Ranger Saturday group outings remain suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will get a report out each week with items of interest to folks trying to get outside for some "social distancing" and spirit-calming fresh air.

Last week's arctic blast has both yellow and green larch needles falling to the ground. They usually don't fall until golden yellow.
