Hall Lake can also be reached by trail from behind the town of Swan Lake

Here, our route leaves Historic Alpine Trail #7. There is a gap in the trail from Hall Peak to Broken Leg Mountain. Instead of hiking on a trial, here we have to travel cross- country through the brush and walk on old logging roads. These roads were built in the 1950s and 1960s.
