While the Swan Ranger Saturday group outings remain suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will get a report out each week with items of interest to folks trying to get outside for some "social distancing" and spirit-calming fresh air.

Pam Willison, Pat and Mary skied up the Bear Creek Road and first portion of the Peterson Creek Trail, gaining the above view of Ferndale and Flathead Lake.

They then swapped their skis for hiking boots and hiked the old road toward Wolf Creek. (Pam Willison photo)

Pat Jaquith took this great photo of birch seeds set free by birds like Pine Siskins!

Snow conditions were better earlier in the week, when the three skied into Krause Basin! (Pam Willison photo)

Keith Hammer and Pam skied to North Krause Creek, which had been tracked up by a four-wheeler with snow tracks attached.

Chris Gotschalk took this photo when he and Fawn skied there the following day, finding fresh snow covering the previous tracks.

Joel Vignere took this photo of a big buck deer between Lake McDonald and Avalanche Creek in Glacier NP!

Linda Anderson sent in this photo of her ski with friends in Haskill Basin!

Debra Schweitzer sent in this photo of her "thin" ski at the Bigfork Community Nordic Center (Foothills Ski Area) mid-week. The Center since reports enough snow to start grooming, but needing more to "set track."

The Swan Ranger Saturday group outings remain suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
