Swan Rangers on Near and Far!

View of Flathead and Swan Lakes by Pam Willison

Swan Rangers continued to focus on things both near and far during their outings this past week!

Click here or scroll down for the Rangers' photos and details!

In our lead photo, Pam Willison got a nice view from near the Swan Crest but . . .

. . . she didn't miss all the bugs and bees pollinating this Cow parsnip and . . .

. . . she came across a beautiful waterfall too!

Keith Hammer didn't miss the wild bees cruising through Bee Notch, where he also got . . .

. . . a nice view of Great Northern Mountain!

Pat Jaquith came across this Two-tailed Swallowtail butterfly and . . .

. . . a yet-to-unfold butterfly just emerged from its chrysallis!

Pat also came across some of those sticky looking Sub-alpine fir cones!

Skip Via found this gorgeous Sagebrush mariposa lily!

Ruth Quist came upon a showy Bullock's oriole and . . .

. . . a more conservative Western wood-pewee!

In our parting shot, Keith Hammer reminds us of why we all love those trails and views in the alpine high country!
