Stuart Cole shared this photo of Portuguese Bend Nature Preserve along the California Coast!

Some Swan Rangers stuck to the Rocky Mountains, like Joel Vignere, who reminds us it is not quite spring yet at Two Medicine Lake . . .

. . . while Norma Linsky reports from Apgar Lookout the ice remaining on Lake McDonald is largely covered with meltwater and reflects the mountains as well as the open water!

Pam Willison came across this red-naped sapsucker knocking out a tune on the xylophone created by the splinters of this broken snag, with each one sounding a different note!

Dee Blank got up close and personal with a glacier lily . . .

. . . and the budding leaves and flowers of chokecherry!

Pat Jaquith found a hummingbird nest from last year still lodged in the small crotch of a mountain maple . . .

. . . and a pair of colorful wood ducks!
