Swan Rangers Hike Peters Ridge Road!

Rainy day view of the Flathead Valley! (Keith Hammer photos)

Ten Swan Rangers hiked the Peters Ridge Road on another soggy Saturday, June 23, 2018!

This time they were smart enough to avoid a wet, brushy trail and keep their feet dry!

LOST: Did any Rangers find a pair of plastic MSR snowshoes left in their car this winter after an outing? If so, please notify .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

You have to dress the part . . .

. . . to go singing in the rain!

Lots of lady slippers . . .

. . . were a cause for celebration and up-close inspection!

The colors of the mountain maple seeds were worth a closer look too!

While turning around at Browns Creek . . .

. . . the Rangers got to see some flowering cow parsnip!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
