Jan Lord sent in our lead photo this week from her outing looking for gray whales along Bodega Bay in California!

Keith Hammer, meanwhile, saw mule deer that have come down to lower elevations in the Swan Range to graze on the green-up!

He also admired the Mountain Maple leaves unfolding from their buds . . .

. . . and the Arrowleaf Balsamroot showing off on sunny slopes!

Pam Willison sent in some first-of-season photos of Indian Paintbrush . . .

. . . Trillium . . .

. . . and Glacier Lily!

Pat Jaquith does not disappoint with this photo of Spring Beauty!

Debra Schweitzer sent in nice photos of the Middle Fork Flathead River . . .

. . . and its confluence with the North Fork Flathead (right) near Blankenship Bridge!

And for our closing pastoral shot, Jeff Poirer sent in this photo from his outing among Red-wing Blackbirds and Peeper Frogs along the Badger State Trail in Wisconsin!

The Swan Ranger Saturday group outings remain suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
