Swan Rangers Find Fresh Snow!

Fresh snow by Chris Gotschalk

Swan Rangers found lots of fresh snow during their outings this past week!

Click here or scroll down for the Rangers' photos and details!

In our lead photo, Chris Gotschalk reports he found fresh snow with nothing but wildlife tracks in the Swan Range!

Again, Chris reported fresh snow in front of him!

Pam Willison, however, reminds us that looking behind us often reveals tracks of skiers and that . . .

. . . looking around reveals insteresting things, like this colorful rock still caught in an overturned tree root wad!

Pam also reminds us that, even the most beautiful of cold, fresh snow can get a bit sticky the first time it reaches 32 degrees F!

Ruth Quist sent in a photo of a dove apparently Mourning the lack of snow on its perch!

Pat Jaquith provides us a flashback to Costa Rica with photos of a Capuchin monkey (insert your own bad pun about your favorite monk or coffee drink here, they are all related by nomenclature) . . .

. . . an Agouti . . .

. . . a White-faced coatamundi and, in our parting shot and just in time for the holidays . . .

. . . a reminder that there are WILD Poinsettias that aren't confined to flower pots!

If you have interesting photos of your outings, send them along with a description to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and we'll try to work them into these weekly reports!
