Seven Swan Rangers returned to ski Gildart Creek on a sunny and threatening Saturday, February 15, 2020!

It is wildlife rich and was known as Porcupine Creek just a few short weeks ago!

Taking a tour of Porcupine Bridge over the Flathead River and . . .

. . . the bridge over Gildart Creek by the old homestead!

Catching a little sunshine while looking for . . .

. . . pussy williows!

A person otter keep their eyes peeled for signs of wildlife, like . . .

. . . the worlds driest and fluffiest dipper/water ouzel or . . .

. . . maybe even a dam beaver!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When recreating in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
