Swan Rangers Stroll Swan River Trail!

Seven Swan Rangers strolled the Swan River Nature Trail on a rainy Saturday, October 31, 2015!

The weather forecast of 100% chance of rain was 100% accurate!

Halloween hiking socks! Who woulda thunk it?

Which Ranger do you think is wearing the Halloween socks?

All those tree limbs and needles instantly re-spawn some of the rain as a new cloud!

Fallen larch needs help dam a puddle that results in an unintended "selfie!"

A rainy day favorite, the Rangers pledge to return to the Swan River Nature Trail on a sunny day to see what that looks and feels like!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills (THESE ARE THE HOUR-LATER WINTER HOURS THAT RUN NOVEMBER THROUGH APRIL).

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Wearing "hunter orange" until season ends November 29 is also a good idea!

Everyone is welcome!
