Nine Swan Rangers skied and snowshoed the Peterson Creek Road and Trail as far as the first stream on Saturday, December 27, 2014!
The snow was fresh and piling up fast!

The Swan Rangers ponder a bunch of flakes.
Closed to motor vehicles during winter, the Peterson Creek Road makes for quiet and unrutted skiing!
Though the road gets a bit steep just before . . .
. . . the trail proper, which still provides gentle skiing as far as . . .
. . . the first stream!
The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.
They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.
