Fifteen Swan Rangers skied and snowshoed to the Mission Lookout on Saturday, January 3, 2015!
It was the Rangers' best snow conditions yet for this 7.5 mile round trip!

It was a bit noisy and smelly as snowmobilers prepared to set out up Porcupine Road at the same time . . .
. . . but the spur from Porcupine Road to the Lookout was untracked and quiet!
A serene winter time setting . . .
. . . and a great spot for a bite to eat before pulling on another layer for the glide back down!
The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.
They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.
