Swan Rangers Ski Calm Before Storm!

The calm before . . . (Keith Hammer photos)

Six Swan Rangers skied serenely on a snowy, soon stormy Saturday, February 17, 2018!

They opted for a long loop on the Foothills Ski area so they could get home before the winds started blowing!

Don't forget to donate to North Shore Nordic if you enjoy the trails they groom!

. . . the storm!

Below are a couple photos from Krause Basin on Thursday:

What do you think bulldozed this track? . . .

It was a grouse, according to these landing marks!

This wolverine was headed for higher ground!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking or skiing in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
