Click here or scroll down for the Rangers' photos and details!

It seemed like just the onset of autumn as Debra Schweitzer hiked to Iceberg Lake (see lead photo)  . . .

. . . but then she found no icebergs there at all . . .

. . . and mule deer that appeared to have little regard for her personal space!

Meanwhile, Keith Hammer hiked to the top of the Swan Crest to spend a little time at the beach, but found only remnants of it, along with . . .

. . . a very patient wild strawberry waiting for lichens to turn more of this boulder into soil . . .

. . . and some ageless Pearly everlasting!

Norma Linsky hiked to Ptarmigan Lake, only to find no ptarmigan, while . . .

. . . Joel Vignere found his smart watch had turned into a butterfly!

Other Rangers managed to get time to stand still long enough for photos of a Rough-legged hawk by Ruth Quist . . .

. . . a Fork-tailed katydid by Pam Willison . . .

. . . Sneezeweed by Pam Willison and . . .

. . . Gentian by Pat Jaquith, who also captured today's parting shot of none other than . . .

. . . Peter Cottontail!
