Swan Rangers Hike Peterson Trail!

Staying high and dry on the creek crossing! (Keith Hammer photos)

Twenty Swan Rangers hiked the Peterson Creek Trail on a sunny Saturday, April 25, 2015!

The wildflowers are really getting with the program - and the views aren't bad either!

Fair weather friends at the end of the road.

One of many calypso orchids along the trail!

A clematis flower in the morning sun!

A glacier lily draws the eye to the forest floor . . .

. . . but don't miss the views of the valley below!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills. (Times shown begin May 2!)

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
