Swan Rangers Hike Peters Ridge!

The Peters Ridge Trail is a short but steep jaunt to the Swan Crest! (Norma Linsky photos)

Thirteen Swan Rangers hiked the Peters Ridge Trail on a sunny blue Saturday, July 14, 2018!

It is prime wildflower season on the Swan Crest!

The slopes of Peters Ridge are lush this year . . .

. . . and provide dizzying displays of larkspur . . .

. .  . and beargrass!

Swan Rangers sprout like wildflowers along the Swan Crest . . .

. . . during snack and contemplation time!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
