Swan Rangers Hike Krause-Peters Loop!

Overlooking Echo and Flathead Lakes from Peters Ridge Road! (Keith Hammer photos)

Seventeen Swan Rangers hiked up Krause Creek and down Peters Ridge Road on a sunny Saturday, April 30, 2016!

They encountered only a little snow, lots of wildflowers and a lot of winter deadfall across the old Krause Basin road!

The Rangers all fresh as daisies!

There's a log crossing the south fork of Krause Creek just upstream from the old road!

A view of Infinity Ridge and Spider Bowl, at center, from the Peters Ridge Road!

Clematis are making a big showing lately!

Oregon grape in flower with lupine fully leafed out nearby!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills. (The times listed just shifted one hour earlier for Summer and will shift back to 8:30 and 9:30 the first Saturday in November).

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

Everyone is welcome!
