Debra Schweitzer hiked along the Middle Fork Flathead River on the South Boundary Trail in Glacier National Park, where she took our lead photo . . .

. . . and photos of the curvy trail and . . .

. . . the curvy river corridor that includes a highway and train tracks!

Norma Linsky sent in these photos of her hike along Avalanche Creek to . . .

. . . Avalanche Lake, where this mountain goat was waiting with its winter coat on!

Keith Hammer took a few photos during his hike with Pam Willison along the Swan River on the Bigfork Nature Trail.

They saw lots of ducks and geese and rain.

The cliffs were decorated for the holidays with kinnikinnick . . .

. . . while the river above the dam was still decorated with a string of giant Halloween candy!

Pam took a couple nice photos in their yard, of a whitetail buck . . .

. . . and a busy pileated woodpecker.

Pam took a nice photo during her walk on the Strawberry Lake Road, showing it is sometimes sunnier up in the Swan Valley!

Keith thought he'd show how "election week" ended, with millions of tiny apolitical fliers falling peacefully from the sky!
