Swan Rangers Enjoy Winter Ahead of Solstice!

Riverside skiing by Chris Gotschalk

Swan Rangers enjoyed winter snow and wetlands during their outings this past week leading up to Winter Solstice!

In our lead photo, Chris Gotschalk takes us on a ski along the river and . . .

. . . across wetlands where . . .

. . . water lies hidden just below the snow!

Debra Schweitzer also skied near wetlands, as did . . .

. . . Lynn Smith, where she also saw . . .

. . . a bald eagle in need of a little grooming!

Pam Willison spied a Dark-eyed junko in the bushes below . . .

. . . the Swan Crest!

Keith Hammer also enjoyed views of the Swan Crest during his ski outing while . . .

. . . Chris Gotschalk skied along a pretty stream but . . .

. . . doesn't appear to have yet skied across the skinny bridge that crosses it!

In our parting shot, Ruth Quist reminds us Winter Solstice arrives next week with this sign of the seasons managed by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes!
