Swan Rangers Christmas Story!

Swan River School  and Swan Range(rs)! (Roger Benson photo)

Twas the day before Christmas, in the car parking lot, said one Ranger to the other, "Nobody is here, no they are not!"

No sooner had they left, for home since nobody was being, when four Rangers arrived, wanting to go skiing!

"Where did those guys go, those Rangers from breakfast? It appears, yes it does, they have gone off and left us!"

So the four they went skiing, up the North Fork of Krause, where wild creatures were stirring; snowshoe hare, squirrel and mouse!

Hope your Christmas was merry and there's more snow in the weather, maybe next year the Rangers will get it together!

The "second wave" of Rangers head into Krause Basin . . . (Fawn Simensen photos here and after)

. . . where the snow bridge over South Krause Creek is improving with more snow and a few limbs!

A snow troll along the trail was a precursor for things to come . . .

. . . like this elusive Julenisse, a Norwegian Christmas elf!

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 8:30, leaving at 9:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

Everyone is welcome!
