Swan Rangers Bond with Llamas!

Bond Falls (Keith Hammer photos)

Eleven Swan Rangers hiked to Bond Falls on a sunny Saturday, July 6, where they saw some interesting looking pack llamas!

Nightime thundershowers missed the area so the Rangers even kept their feet dry!

Hard to tell if the llamas were more curious about the Rangers . . .

. . . or the other way around!

The nice bridge over Bond Creek also helps keep the feet dry!

Interesting plants along the trail included purple clover . . .

. . . mock orange . . .

. . . mountain, or elegant, camas . . .

. . . bog orchids . . .

. . . and grass in flower! Can you find the two bugs in this photo?

The Swan Rangers meet every Saturday at the Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast at 7:30, leaving at 8:30 for a partial day outing in the northern Swan Mountains and foothills.

They carpool from the Swan River School parking lot next to the Cafe.

When hiking in bear country, remember to carry bear spray and avoid the 3-D's: dawn, dusk, and darkness.

Everyone is welcome!
